Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs with the support of an expert team. You’ll interview clients and prepare complete and accurate tax returns while benefiting from advanced tax training.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA or EA certification, and 5+ years in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax. You’ll mentor teammates and contribute to client growth and retention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing individual returns
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and state requirements

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• Mentor and support teammates
