Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs. You will conduct tax interviews, prepare complete returns, and provide IRS support while leveraging advanced tax training.

You may mentor teammates and contribute to client growth and retention. Eligible candidates typically have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, CPA/EA certification, and 5+ years in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification preferred
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust or partnership)
• 5+ years in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience beneficial

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• Mentor and support teammates

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

CPA or Enrolled Agent certification

Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)

5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax

Experience conducting virtual tax interviews

Experience with tax planning and audit support

Sales and/or marketing experience
