Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to work with clients on diverse tax needs and advance their financial outcomes. You will deliver high-quality service with an emphasis on accuracy, tax planning, and IRS support, supported by an expert team and comprehensive training.

In this role you will conduct client interviews (in person or virtually), prepare complete tax returns, and contribute to client growth and retention while mentoring teammates in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support (including audit representation for Circular 230 associates)
• Mentor and support teammates
