Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs, with the support of an expert team and advanced training to help you succeed.

You will conduct tax interviews face-to-face or through virtual tools, prepare complete and accurate tax returns, generate business growth and client retention, and provide IRS support. The role emphasizes mentoring teammates and delivering excellent service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support (including audit representation for applicable certification levels)
• Mentor and support teammates
