H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional for a local tax office. You will prepare returns, interview clients, and offer tax guidance using industry-leading training and technology. This in-person position emphasizes client-focused service and accurate tax outcomes.

You’ll earn an hourly rate with an incentive plan and opportunities to grow in tax and financial services as you build your expertise and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations.
• Conduct client interviews to understand financials and tax implications; provide personalized recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and present relevant H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.

Education
