H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare returns, interview clients, and identify savings opportunities in a local tax office. You’ll be supported by training and technology and earn a competitive hourly rate with additional incentives.

The role emphasizes client-focused service, tax expertise, and ongoing education to remain compliant with IRS/state requirements while helping clients navigate complex tax situations.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of tax preparation or related experience, including individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for diverse and complex situations.
• Conduct client interviews to understand finances and tax implications and provide recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team and maintain a positive office environment.
