Job summary

H&R Block in the United States is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs with the support of an expert team and advanced tax training to help you succeed. You will conduct tax interviews, prepare returns, and contribute to client growth while mentoring teammates.

A strong background in accounting or tax and completion of required IRS/state requirements is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support.
• Mentor and support teammates.
