Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complex tax returns, interview clients, and deliver personalized recommendations, supported by industry leading training and technology.

In-office, in-person at a local H&R Block tax office, you will help clients uncover savings opportunities, provide IRS support, and build lasting relationships while adhering to IRS/state requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of tax preparation experience.
• Experience in a client-facing, advisory role.
• Ability to explain tax concepts in client-friendly language.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse situations (individuals and businesses).
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and implications, giving clear recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships through empathetic, consultative service and identify savings opportunities and products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive client-focused office environment.
