In this in-person role at a local H&R Block tax office, you will interview clients to understand life changes, deliver tax-saving opportunities, and support IRS processes while building lasting client relationships.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative or advisory roles.
• Strong verbal and written communication to explain tax concepts.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to assess financial situations and tax implications.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive, client-focused office.
