Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for diverse and complex situations (individual and business).
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financials and tax implications, then provide recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying savings opportunities and Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
