Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to assist clients with diverse tax needs and receive advanced tax training. You will conduct tax interviews, prepare returns, and help grow client relationships using virtual tools in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring CPA/EA certification or progress toward it, 5+ years in accounting/tax, and strong communication skills for in-person and virtual interactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support.
• Mentor and support teammates.
