Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations and maximize refunds. You’ll prepare returns, interview clients, and identify savings opportunities in a supportive office environment.

You’ll work in-person at a local H&R Block tax office, receive industry-leading training, and earn a competitive hourly rate with potential incentives based on impact and performance.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation including individual and business returns.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles with strong communication.
• Must meet continuing education and IRS/state requirements, high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and implications.
• Provide tax savings opportunities and cross-sell HR Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with teammates to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.
