Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations with confidence. You will prepare accurate returns, uncover savings opportunities, and build lasting relationships using our training and technology.

This in-person role is based in a local H&R Block tax office. You will interview clients, provide personalized recommendations, and offer IRS support and audit guidance as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns
• Ability to explain tax concepts in client-friendly language
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS and state requirements

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse tax situations, including individuals and businesses
• Conduct client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications, offering clear recommendations
• Build client relationships by providing empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment
