The role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office, offering industry-leading training, tools, and an incentive plan based on impact and performance. You will interview clients, identify savings opportunities, and build lasting relationships while delivering empathetic, consultative service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping including individual and business returns.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS and state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and product recommendations for clients.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive client-focused office environment.
