Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping experience (including individual & business returns)
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS and state requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations (individuals and businesses)
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financials and tax implications
• Provide tax savings opportunities and recommend H&R Block products
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team and maintain a positive, client-focused office culture
