Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations.

You will conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and tax implications, then provide clear recommendations and opportunities for savings. You will deliver empathetic, consultative service, identify product opportunities, and collaborate with the team to sustain a positive office environment.

Qualifications

• Must have completed the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• At least 1 year of tax preparation or related experience (individuals and business returns).
• Experience in a client-facing advisory role is preferred.
• Strong ability to explain tax concepts to clients clearly.
• Must meet ongoing IRS/state requirements and maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate tax returns for diverse client scenarios, including individuals and businesses.
• Conduct client interviews to assess financial situations and tax implications.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and promote HR Block products.
• Provide IRS notices support and audit guidance when needed.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive client-focused office environment.
