Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations. You will prepare accurate returns, interview clients to understand life and financial changes, and provide clear, personalized recommendations.

You will build trusted relationships, identify tax savings and related products, and support clients with IRS notices and audit guidance. This in-person role offers hands-on training and a supportive office environment.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication, able to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must meet IRS/state requirements and complete continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse tax situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial life changes and implications.
• Build trusted client relationships with empathetic, consultative service.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive client-focused office.
