Job summary

Jackson Hewitt is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Preparer to guide clients through complex tax forms and provide expert customer service. You will interview clients, prepare multiyear returns, and support audits with accuracy and care.

This role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for advancement. Ideal candidates bring 2+ seasons of tax experience, strong communication, and attention to detail; a Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred, with CPA/EA as a bonus and PTIN

Qualifications

• 2+ seasons of tax experience.
• Experience completing individual, trust, and/or partnership returns.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent license is a bonus.
• PTIN Certification: Yes.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance and complete accurate tax forms for clients, including multiyear and multistate returns.
• Offer IRS audit support and e-file returns to IRS and state agencies.
• Conduct face-to-face tax interviews with clients.
• Generate business growth and increase client retention.
• Answer client calls via a national call center routing system.
• Provide tax planning and answer questions in a timely manner.
• Process client payments and ensure timely deposits.
• Support marketing and business generation efforts.
• Mentor and support teammates; lead when needed.
