Job summary

Jackson Hewitt is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Preparer to guide clients through tax forms, including multistate and year-end returns. You will perform face-to-face interviews, file accurate returns, and provide IRS audit support.

You will help grow the business, assist with client retention, and handle payments and scheduling. A focus on customer service and accuracy is essential for success in a fast-paced tax environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ seasons of tax experience
• Experience completing individual, trust, and/or partnership returns
• Passion for providing extraordinary customer service
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Successful completion of the Jackson Hewitt Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
• Field Instructor, Remote Support, or Call Center certification a plus
• Tax planning and audit support experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field a plus
• CPA or Enrolled Agent license is a bonus
• PTIN Certification: Yes

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face tax interviews with clients.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Answer client calls via our national call center routing system.
• Answer tax related questions and provide future tax planning to clients in a timely fashion.
• Collection and processing of clients’ payments while ensuring timely deposits.
• Marketing and business generation efforts.
• Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration.
• Mentor and support teammates, providing guidance and in some cases acting as a lead.
• This position has access to and regularly works with information of a sensitive, highly confidential nature which requires a working knowledge of the business.
