Job summary

Jackson Hewitt is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Preparer to guide clients through multistate tax forms and year-end filings. You will interview clients, prepare and review returns, provide audit support when needed, and e-file to IRS and states.

We welcome candidates with gaps in work history, new entrants to the workforce, or those seeking flexible schedules. Bilingual applicants are highly encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 2+ seasons of tax experience.
• Experience preparing individual, trust, and/or partnership tax returns.
• Passion for extraordinary customer service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Successful completion of the Jackson Hewitt Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent license a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face tax interviews with clients.
• Generate business growth and increase client retention.
• Answer client calls via our national call center routing system.
• Provide tax planning and answer tax-related questions timely.
• Process payments and ensure timely deposits.
• Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration.
• Mentor teammates and occasionally act as lead.
