Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to work with clients in a local tax office, gathering information, and preparing tax returns with comprehensive training from experienced teammates.

You will explain tax information clearly, identify savings opportunities, and provide recommendations in a client-friendly way while building strong relationships and supporting office priorities through teamwork. This is an in-person role with pay based on hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma / GED / equivalent.
• Customer service experience in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
