Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to join a local tax office. You will meet with clients, collect information, and prepare tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills help you explain tax concepts and identify savings opportunities. This in-person role offers an hourly pay rate with opportunities to increase earnings as tax knowledge grows, and a strong focus on client relationships and team collaboration

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in an understandable way.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
