Job summary

H&R Block, a trusted tax services firm, is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You’ll gather client information, prepare returns with guidance, and explain tax details clearly to clients.

Training and support are provided from day one, with compensation aligned to an hourly rate and opportunities to grow earnings during tax season. Successful candidates will engage with clients, identify opportunities to save taxes, and help teammates meet office goals while

Qualifications

• Complete the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
