Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with training and support from teammates.

You’ll explain tax details clearly and suggest savings opportunities while building strong client relationships. No prior tax experience is required; training is provided from day one, and you’ll earn a competitive hourly rate with potential for higher earnings as you gain knowledge.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach
