Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You will meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with guidance from experienced teammates. You’ll explain tax information clearly and identify potential savings, while building strong client relationships.

No prior tax experience is required as training and support are provided from day one. You’ll earn a competitive hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you build tax

Qualifications

• Experience in service-oriented environments.
• Strong communication and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving and information organizing skills.
• Comfort with digital tools including AI-based copilots.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations clients can understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Address questions or unique situations with guidance and resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
