Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local H&R Block tax office. You will meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with support from experienced teammates. Training is provided from day one, and you’ll explain tax information clearly while identifying savings opportunities for clients.

This role focuses on building client relationships and delivering accurate tax services with a client-first approach, leveraging digital tools as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in an accessible way.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
