Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You will meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.

You’ll learn tax concepts on the job, explain information clearly, and identify savings opportunities while building strong client relationships. Availability may include evenings and weekends during peak periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to organize information.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• Enrollment in or completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
