H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to join a local tax office in Illinois. You will meet with clients, gather information, prepare returns, and explain tax concepts with guidance from experienced teammates.

This in-person role offers a competitive hourly rate that increases with tax knowledge and performance, with hours flexible for peak season. Training and ongoing support are provided to help you build client relationships and grow in the role.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent tax prep training.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems, including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsabilités

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
