Job summary

You will meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with guidance from experienced teammates. Training starts day one, and you’ll learn to explain tax details clearly while seeking savings opportunities for clients.

You’ll earn an hourly rate with potential to grow as you gain tax knowledge, and you’ll be part of a team focused on client service and community impact during tax season.

Qualifications

• Completed the H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills for explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs
• Problem-solving skills including organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Address questions or unique situations with guidance from available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach
