H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to join our local tax office in-person. You’ll gather information from clients, prepare returns, and answer questions while building client relationships and tax knowledge. Training and support from day one help you succeed in a client‑facing role.

You’ll earn an hourly rate with opportunities to increase your earnings as you grow. Flexible part-time hours include evenings and weekends during tax season.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED/ equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
