Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to begin a career in tax and client services. You will work directly with clients in-person at a local tax office, gathering information, preparing returns, and answering questions with training and support from experienced teammates.

No prior tax experience is required. You’ll earn an hourly rate and have opportunities to increase earnings as you gain tax knowledge and build client relationships, with hours ranging from 15–35 per week and up

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a service-oriented environment is helpful.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based resources (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT).

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations the client can understand.
• Identify potential tax savings opportunities and relevant product/services.
• Address client questions with problem-solving and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
