Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate to start a career in tax and client services with training from day one. In-person at a local tax office, you’ll meet clients, gather information, and prepare returns with guidance from experienced teammates.

No prior tax experience required; you’ll learn to identify savings opportunities, explain tax information clearly, and build strong client relationships while supporting office priorities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course 1.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort using AI tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach.
