Qualifications

• Successfully completed the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Experience in client-facing roles or consultative positions.
• Experience asking questions and recommending solutions based on customer needs.
• Ability to work 15–35 hours per week, with up to 40 hours during peak periods.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends during tax season.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
