Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to meet with clients, collect information, and prepare tax returns with guidance from experienced teammates. In this in-person role, you’ll identify tax savings opportunities, explain complex tax concepts clearly, and build lasting client relationships.

Training and support are provided from day one, with opportunities to increase earnings as you expand tax knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
