Job summary

H&R Block in Manchester, NH is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate to join a local tax office. No previous tax experience is required; you will receive training and support from day one and you’ll earn a competitive hourly rate while you learn and grow.

You will meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation, prepare complete and accurate tax returns, and explain tax information clearly so clients can act on recommendations.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
