Job summary

H&R Block in New Hampshire is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to join our local tax office. You will work directly with clients to gather information, prepare returns, and answer questions with training and support from day one.

No prior tax experience required. You will earn an hourly rate and have opportunities to increase earnings as you build tax knowledge and performance, with availability to work evenings and weekends during tax season.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to organize information.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach.
