Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office in Washington. You will meet with clients, gather tax information, and prepare returns with support from experienced teammates.

You will explain tax concepts clearly, identify savings opportunities, and build client relationships while contributing to team priorities in a fast-paced tax season environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in customer-facing or service environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-assisted systems.
• Ability to work 15–35 hours per week, peak periods up to 40 hours.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and relevant products.
