H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to work directly with clients, gather tax information, and prepare returns with guidance from experienced teammates. You’ll learn quickly, earn an hourly wage, and grow tax knowledge in a training-rich environment.

The role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office, with opportunities to increase earnings as you develop expertise and client relationships during tax season.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
