Job summary

H&R Block in Maryland is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to join our in-person tax office. You’ll work with clients to gather information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions while building essential client relationships.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
