Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to join a local tax office in person. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with training while building strong client relationships.

No prior tax experience is required; training and support are provided from day one. The role offers an hourly rate with potential to increase earnings as you gain tax knowledge and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems, including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
