Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate for in-person work at a local tax office. You will meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with guidance from experienced teammates.

Training and support are provided from day one to help you grow in tax knowledge and client service. Excellent communication is expected to explain tax information clearly, identify savings opportunities, and build lasting client relationships.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent training
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment
• Strong communication skills to explain information clearly and ask questions
• Problem-solving skills to organize information and identify solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and systems, including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork
