H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You’ll gather client information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions while building client relationships and tax knowledge.

Training and support are provided from day one, with opportunities to increase earnings as you gain experience. No prior tax experience is required; successful candidates have strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities, plus comfort with AI-based tools.

Qualifications

• Completed the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in client-friendly terms.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach.
