Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate for in-person work at a local tax office. No prior tax experience required, with training and support from day one. You will meet with clients, gather information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions while building valuable client relationships.

You’ll earn a competitive hourly rate, with opportunities to increase earnings as you grow tax knowledge. Availability includes peak periods and evenings/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to organize information.
• Familiarity with digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and relevant products/services.
• Address client questions with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities.
