Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate to meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with on-the-job training. You will explain tax information clearly, identify savings opportunities, and advise on products and services in a supportive, team-driven environment.

As an in-person role in a local H&R Block office, you’ll earn a competitive hourly wage and have chances to expand tax knowledge during peak season while building lasting client relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to organize information.
• Comfort using digital tools, including Copilot and ChatGPT.
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
