Job summary

H&R Block is hiring for a seasonal Tax Associate to meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with support from experienced teammates. You will explain tax options clearly, identify savings opportunities, and provide recommendations while building strong client relationships.

This is an in-person, local office role with training from day one and opportunities to increase earnings as tax knowledge grows.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and client-first approach
