H&R Block is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate to work with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with on-the-job training. You’ll explain tax details clearly and identify potential savings while building client relationships.

This in-person role offers a pathway to grow tax knowledge and earnings as you gain experience and confidence in assisting clients during tax season.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• Enrollment in the H&R Block Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment is required.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations clients can understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Address questions or unique situations with guidance and resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach.
