Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with support from seasoned teammates. You’ll explain tax concepts clearly and identify savings opportunities, while building strong client relationships.

This in-person role offers training, competitive hourly pay, and the chance to grow tax knowledge and earnings during peak season.

Qualifications

Experience in service-oriented environment.
Strong communication; ability to explain information clearly.
Problem-solving abilities; organize information and identify solutions.
Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration.
