Job summary

Office Depot is seeking a Supply Chain Operations Manager to direct daily distribution and transportation activities, including receiving, order fulfillment, shipping, and third-party carrier coordination. This role owns P&L for the assigned area, oversees staffing, cost control, safety, and KPIs, and partners with site and regional leaders to improve productivity and customer experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a leadership role within distribution, transportation or operations.
• Strong leadership and communication with cross-functional influence.
• Experience driving KPI-based continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
• Knowledge of warehouse and transportation operations best practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage receipt, storage, order fulfillment, loading, and transport activities with third-party providers.
• Forecast labor and capacity to align with volume and resources.
• Monitor performance data to drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality and cost.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and carriers; lead leadership meetings and audits.
• Recruit, hire, and develop distribution/transport teams; conduct reviews and coaching.
• Lead safety, compliance, and workplace standards while managing P&Ls and budget performance.
• Implement Lean principles to streamline processes and eliminate waste; drive cross-functional problem solving.
