Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development at our Nacogdoches location.

You will assist with opening/closing, help customers, supervise associates, manage merchandising, and ensure a clean, inviting store that meets company policies and safety guidelines. This part-time role offers opportunities to grow with a nationwide retailer while delivering friendly service and maintaining a well-organized, efficient store

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and other communications.
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits), and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked, clean and organized store floor and stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and general neatness.
• Other duties as assigned.
