Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. Under the Store Manager, you will supervise staff, manage merchandise, complete deposits, and support profitability while protecting assets.

The role includes stocking, cashiering, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The position is Seasonal and requires strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in retail with supervisory exposure is preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet customers and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Follow processes to manage merchandise: receiving, stocking, restocking, and displays.
• Help maintain accurate inventory by controlling damages and markdowns.
• Assist with planograms; ensure merchandise presentation per standards.
• Support cashier accountability, security practices, refunds, and deposits.
• Assist with management in Store Manager’s absence.
